Victorian Day Photos!
I went to "Victorian Days" at the Oakland Park Cemetery in Atlanta the other day and had a wonderful time. There were quite a few people dressed in period costumes. Oakland Park has some great events. I know it sounds weird to have events in a cemetery, but they do this to keep up the grounds in this fabulous historical park. For those who are not familiar with this place it is a great place to go for walks. I first discovered it a few years ago when my daughter moved into the neighborhood. We took her dogs for a walk there. Then I brought my husband for a walking tour. Later we went to their Halloween event. Oakland Park Cemetery has been on my list of places to go and things to do anytime someone comes in from out of town. Who would have thought?
Everyone was happy to pose for pictures.
Even Scarlett O'Hara made an appearance! Lots of photo ops.

Studio Work!
Last night my son came over to play a little in the studio. He thought it might be fun to do some catalog or advertisement style shooting. After a trip to the store to get some stones and black garbage bags we made a little stream, got out the good jewelry and started some test shots. We set this all up on top of the pool table. We lined the pool table with trash bags, then installed the pingpong table on top. After several failed and some good shots we realized we were leaking water onto the table. We decided to move it outdoors. Don't ask me why we didn't start out there. Still have some issues to work on--like the reflections of the soft box in the watch--but not bad for a fun evening.

Another New Baby!
I had an opportunity to take Waylon's picture. He is only4 days old here and he was so cooperative. I love newborn photo shoots. Not only do I get to take their pictures, I get to pick them up and hold them. What more could I want. Okay, so maybe I would like to keep them for a little while. Hold them for hours on end-- but that's all. I could stare at them forever. Watch their little mouths move while they sleep, watch their chest move with ever breath. Babies are so precious and I relish every moment with them.
